ANSYS

Overview

ANSYS/Multiphysics is a finite element design and analysis software that allows a user to model problems in structures, thermal/fluid flow and electromagnetics. ANSYS includes a graphical user interface based pre- and post-processor with modeling, simulation, and results evaluation capabilities.

Setup

No special setup is necessary to use ANSYS.

Usage

ANSYS is started by typing the command "ansys110" at the command prompt.
The ANSYS graphical user interface is started by typing the command "ansys110 -g".

Documentation

ANSYS has extensive online documentation and help, which can be accessed from inside the graphical user interface once you launch ANSYS.
