The MATrix LABoratory seminar is offered every semester. The seminar will introduce MATLAB as a useful TOOL in the area of technical computing. Technical computing may be defined as numerical computations or scientific visualization.

MATLAB design philosophy is to have a general program and specialized toolboxes. The general application has all the basic matrix operations. There are additional twenty-five (25) tool boxes that can be ordered separately. Examples of some special packages include:

Control System

Neural Systems

Fuzzy Logic

Statistics

Optimization

Etc. etc. etc.

See the MATLAB References List for further information.

You may also visit MATHWORKS for information about the company that produces MATLAB.
